prayer fellowship, tuesdays @ 7pm
Prayer Fellowship meets once a week from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights in the home of church members. Men and women gather together to sing songs and to share praises and prayer needs. Each week a theme is selected, usually highlighting an attribute of God. Some themes have been “The Lord our Peace”, The Lord Heals”, “God is Compassionate,” “God is Wise” and “God is our Deliverer.” Scriptures relating to God's attribute for that week are read and reflections are shared. The men and women pray separately from 8-9 p.m. The women pray conversationally starting with Praise, followed by Silent Confession, Thanksgiving and Intercession. We praise God for who He is, confess our sins silently, thank God for answered prayers and blessings, and end with praying for one another and lifting up individuals to God, interceding for them. The men read and discuss the Scriptures, share testimonies and personal reflections. We conclude the evening with food and fellowship. English.

united methodist women
The United Methodist Women are a dedicated group of women engaged in a creative, supportive fellowship whose primary goal is to support local and global missions, especially those pertaining to children, youth and women. Some of our projects have included knitting blankets and hats for Afghanistan, making scarves for City Team Ministries, sending packages to college students, supporting UMCOR ministries, raising funds through luncheons. Our retreats have been fantastic times with the Lord, refreshing our spirits and spurring us on to service for God! English.

MYF encourages youth from the Oakland Chinatown community as well as the surrounding local cities- come and join! English.

hiking fellowship, 3rd saturdays of the month
This enthusiastic bunch of “trek pole-ers” takes on some of the tamest as well as the most challenging trails in the immediate Bay Area. Sometimes we'll venture out as far as Point Reyes National Seashore and other times we'll drop onto a single track trail right in the heart of Oakland. We try new trails as well as revisit our favorites. In the past five years, we've had several outings which included those as well who wished to bicycle thus extending their range. Let's lace up our boots, it's time to "take a hike!”  English.

knitting fellowship
The knitting fellowship meets once a month on Sundays after the English worship service. The knitting/crochet group provides fellowship time with others who enjoy this art form.
